Weird, violent, psychedelic, disgusting but also fascinating and riveting in the way a car crash is; you want to turn away but your eyes seem reluctant to look away from the scene no matter how gory it looks. I'm not even sure I liked it, and yet I don't think I'd be able to stop reading if anyone a...

This book is absolutely strange. And not in a good way.

Weird. This was just an odd book - I think that's all the review I can give, because, aside from its oddness, there wasn't much to recommend it.

The protagonist is an amazing character, I wish this book gave her the right venue to breath. Without her the book is just another coming of age urban fantasy, with her it is a travisty for what could have been.

I would have given this book a 5 easily, if the ending wasn't so..sudden. Anyway besides that bleeding violet was a great read. What caught my attention was the title and the cover. I LOVE purple covers! And the main character has a thing for the color purple(you will find out why). Just warning u, ...

I think this was the worst book I've ever read. I picked it up because I liked the idea of her being kinda out there (it was a change from all the seemingly perfect female characters). I kept reading and reading thinking the main idea would come in sometime soon and it just kept getting more and mor...
Great Imaginations

Goodreads Summary:Love can be a dangerous thing...Hanna simply wants to be loved. With a head plagued by hallucinations, a medicine cabinet full of pills, and a closet stuffed with frilly, violet dresses, Hanna's tired of being the outcast, the weird girl, the freak. So she runs away to Portero, Tex...

I've done things a little backwards. Although this is the first of Reeves' Portero books (and her first YA book), I read Slice of Cherry, the second book in the series, first. I don't think this ruined much for me. I probably would have figured out Portero's weirdness wasn't just in Hanna's head fai...
