E.J. Russell grew up in Greece and now lives in England, raising her family. She wrote her first book of stories when she was eight. Nowadays, substantially older, writing is her escape in a baffling adult world of bills, deadlines and having to actually read the labels on clothes before you do the laundry. She writes in the silent small hours of the night, in stolen moments between wiping up dribble and kissing bruised knees (not her own)and in her mind during boring conversations with real adults about the weather and supermarkets. She likes to act out scenes she has written and her characters' conversations. It helps enormously to keep the neighbours away. She hopes you enjoy her books because she has fun creating them. You can find her at www.facebook.com/pages/Emma-Jane-Russell/114800442001435 E.J. Russell's debut novel "Return to the Aegean" set on the Greek islands is a work close to her heart. She hopes that the rich images it provokes will encourage people to visit the islands and sustain tourism in a respectful way, in terms of increasing awareness of the culture, beliefs, history, the agricultural products available and also to encourage preservation of the beautiful natural environment.

This is crime mixed with romance and a necessity for closure with the past. What I really liked about this book was the way the author manages to create the image of both the Greek people and the landscape. It was almost as if I could feel the warmth of sun on my face, taste the salty sea on the lig...
