When I first saw the documentary, Going Clear, words couldn't explain my disbelief, anger, and fascination. Before the documentary, I'd always thought that Scientology was silly yet harmless. I had no idea the level of abuse, both physical and mental, that goes on behind the scenes. Celebrities are ...

The first section pretty well covers "Everything you ever wanted to know about Scientology (and quite a lot you'd never have thought to ask)," and that begins with the rather colorful biography of its founder, the exceedingly prolific writer L. Ro...

This is really scary. Wright's book seems as balanced as possible. And by that I mean that anything negative about the church will be aggressively denied, and people who speak against the church will be hounded and sued. So it can be difficult to write anything that isn't glowingly positive. As ...
