Green Rider by Kristen Britain is the first book in the Green Rider series. Karigan G'ladheon has run away and finds herself in a situation that is fraught with danger. This is a beautifully written adventure of a young girl trying to find her way. Great world building and wonderful characters have m...

If you liked Valdemar but you want something a little less sparkly and more down-to-earth, aimed at your inner 17-year-old instead of your inner 13-year-old, this is a good series for you!

I enjoyed it, though at times it seemed to meander. Over all a very enjoyable escape.

This book borrows so much from [b:The Lord of the Rings|33|The Lord of the Rings (The Lord of the Rings, #1-3)|J.R.R. Tolkien|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1347257199s/33.jpg|3462456] it was starting to make me feel squicky. That and I was getting bored in parts. I like the concept but ...

Even though she doesn't have any specific talents (other than becoming somewhat transparent), she still manages to succeed against a...

The writing and characters were cheap and bland . . . and annoying. I couldn't force myself through another 300 pages to finish it.

It was okay...the point of views jumped a bit too much for me, and I dislike when the magic is all mysterious and unknown and unreliable.

I really wavered back and forth between whether I should rate this 2 or 3 stars. The story was interesting, but I think the main character was a little undeveloped...400+ pages and I don't feel like I really knew her. Basically I finished the book feeling vaguely unsatisfied.

The blurb snagged me from the start. It all sounded so very exciting and dramatic and a had a certain Lord of the Rings-esque feel. And in a lot of ways, it was.At the very beginning, I had difficulties emersing (is that a word?) myself into the book, there was something about the writing or somethin...
