The discovery of a time travel key allows the creators to reveal the ominous source of the keys' power, and show the adventures of the previous generation of key keepers and how their reckless use of the keys lead to all the current problems.

I'm so thankful for all the explanations and background given on the overall Lovecraft area from this book. It really helped pull everything together. The last installment had left me feeling like there wasn't really a direction, but this leveled everything out. I'm very interested to see what's ...

Finally the Locke's discover the key to Keyhouse's history. The most tantalizing aspect of the series has been how all of it - the house, the keys, Dodge, came to be. Some hints had been given about known keys, and memories of particular production of The Tempest, but in 'Clockworks' Hill gives out ...

I really was more curious about Rendell & co's experience with the keys, so it was good to go back and see their dynamic, and figure out who exactly Dodge was. I love that there's the possibility to make more keys. Can't wait to see what the fish hook/lure does.

I sat down and read volumes 5 & 6 back to back, so I'm not sure I can distinguish them in my mind. Like Runaways, my previous favorite starring teens, you've got magic, teens mostly trying to do the right thing, some helpful adults, lots of gore and tragedy. It's entertaining as hell.Library copy
