Nah. This couldn't hold my interest for more than a few minutes at a time. In the end I decided I had many much more interesting and promising looking books in my to read pile. The front cover and comments on it look more promising than the story actually is.

I had the toughest time believing that Rye was a grown alpha male cowboy and not a teenage boy for about a third of the book. Something about him just seemed really young.I am a fan of small towns and sassy seniors, so all of that was fun. But I felt like the Mexican farmworkers weren't fully realiz...

Austin returns to the town of Terrel, OK to spread her Grandmother's ashes in the Red River on Good Friday. She meets Granny's neighbor and helper name Rye who is one hot cowboy. Will she return to her city life in Tulsa for that big promotion or take up on Granny's watermelon farm? I like Carolyn...

This could have been a 4, but there were a few inconsistencies and such that irked me. For a contemporary romance to NOT have their characters use protection is ridiculous. Love Drunk Cowboy is the first book I've read by Carolyn Brown. I started the book not knowing what to expect. The story was cute enough but I thought the premise was not original. Former country girl turned city girl returns to her roots felt like something I've read before. Austin and Rye's relati...

This book was just sweeter than watermelonpie (now I have never tasted that, but it fits the language in the book.)Austin is a city girl who inherits her granny's watermelon farm, and she falls in love with the life. She used to come there every summer as a kid. She is nice and I have nothing bad to...

I love cowboys. Or rather, I love the idea of cowboys. The hats are just sexy (anyone watch The Amazing Race? I ❤ Jet!), they can two-step and (boot-scootin') boogie, and they're muscled from hard work, not a workout bench... Alright, alright, I'm wiping off the drool now...Carolyn Brown's character...
