Deary doesn't see the point in libraries, thinks they deprive him of sales. Apparently doesn't know any people who aren't fabulously wealthy and privileged.

Murky myths, blood-drenched battles, and meet the gruesomest of gladiators. Stars author Terry Deary. For some fun listening: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01nl9r5/Horrible_Histories_The_Rotten_Romans/This whole series I recommend to an older squirt.

was a good book. However this book has to do more with the Roman occupation of Britian than Rome itself. If your looking to read all about Rome then read the Horrible Histories Ruthless Romans book
