Hey, I'm Paula. I write stories about flawed characters with good hearts who sometimes make bad decisions. I believe in second chances and happy endings, both in life and in books. My writing has been translated into eleven different languages, which is just about the coolest thing ever.In addition to being an author, I'm also an RN, online instructor, and freelance editor at manuscriptcritiqueservices.com. When I'm not working (rare), I'm kayaking, hiking, reading, or seeking out new adventures in faraway lands. I've petted tigers, snuggled snakes, snorkeled with sea lions, and once enjoyed the suction-cuppy feel of a baby elephant's trunk as it ate peanuts from my palm. I love talking to readers! Find me on my website, authorpaulastokes.com, or on twitter as @pstokesbooks.

I had high expectations for this book, but I didn't expect for it to grab me the way it did. This is a story about a girl who's struggling to stay above water, but finds herself drowning time and time again. I think we can all relate to this. It's about being afraid of things happening to other peopl...

Some books hit you right in the feels and this book did more then that. It felt real in it's portrayal of mental illness and the slow baby steps it takes in therapy and the way Paula Stokes showed how therapy really works was something I applauded. I think this was the best portrayal of how real the...
