Robert (Bob) Page was born to working class parents in 1935. He is, he believes and hopes, still living. His early plans for a career in medicine were abandoned. From then on he did nothing much for a number of years, even after marrying and fathering four children. He drifted through several jobs - no career for this man - including steeplejack estimator/supervisor, taxi driver, BT night-staff telephonist, speciality salesman and office manager. He eventually slipped into alcoholism, which cost him his marriage. In eventual recovery he decided to find an outlet for his creative side in writing. His memoirs have appeared in print as "The Presence, a Memoir of Miracles", published by O-Books in January 2010. "77" is his first novel. At the present time he is working on a book on spiritual growth, "An Angel Called Harry". He is married happily to Joan, with whom he lives in occasionally sheltered accommodation.
