How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon - Power Pack!
How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon - Power Pack!: Sell Books by the Truckload & Get Reviews by the Truckload - Penny C. Sansevieri

by Penny C. Sansevieri

I requested this book for review out of curiosity, because a lot of books claim to have the magic secret to book sales and most of them have similar advice, so I wanted to see if the grand claims in the title had anything different to offer.

A lot of the familiar advice about building an author platform was there, but what was different about this book was that instead of just advising authors about tagging their books, it gave some good advice about HOW to tag their books effectively. I got an author friend to test some of the theory and at first, it worked. Her books came up within the first few pages of chosen search terms.

Of course the real trick to that is determining what words people are likely to search on to find your kind of book, but advice for that is given too.

Accompanying the book is a companion book about getting reviews. This was mostly familiar techniques; asking appropriate Amazon reviewers, joining review sites on reader sites, etc. My one niggle was the emphasis on Goodreads, which I would personally tell any author to avoid, or at least to tread very carefully on.

Overall a good choice if you're going to buy just one book on indie book marketing. It has all the advice the others do plus results of the author's own experiments, and a link to her blog where you can keep up on changes in algorithms.

Liked it but not as much as other readers.
The Poppy War - R. F Kuang

I thought the book was pretty good. I loved the world building and the History of the past wars. But I didn't really care about any of the characters. Rin drove me nuts, I felt like she rushed into a lot of things, without thinking things through first. I know people would say its because she's young. But I don't think that was the case, at least for things she does later in the book.

I really didn't like Altan either, and I wonder why Rin acted the way she did around him. There are a lot of trigger Warnings in this book, rape, torture, self harm, to name a few.

I did like it enough that I do want to read the next one, that comes out in August. Especially after how the book ended.

I would recommend this book, but look into all the other trigger warnings, that I didn't mention above, because there's definitely a lot more than what I did list.

Just might be my favorite Book of the Year.
Thunderhead - Neal Shusterman

I freaking loved this book and what a hell of a ride. I just couldn't believe all that went down throughout the whole book. And that ending, how did Neal Shusterman, come up with that cliffhanger ending? I just can't wait to find out when Toll is coming out, especially after that ending.

Still freaking love Rowan like crazy. I love someone that can be complex and have some badness in them. But you know that they have a soft side to them as well.

I also liked Citra a lot more in this book  than I did in scythe. And I loved the new character, not going to say the persons name, in case you haven't read the story yet. But I wonder what is going to happen with this person next.

Another fun Read.
Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow - Jessica Townsend

I really loved this book and I really love the characters and the plot. Probably one of my favorite middle grade book. I couldn't believe how much fun I had reading the book. I loved that I started the book yesterday morning and finished it this morning. I can see why some readers compare this book to Harry Potter, but at the same time, you can tell that the author isn't trying to be Harry Potter. And I freaking loved it for that reason, but also just because it was a really good book and really enjoyable. If you want to read a book that will only take a day or two to read and not take it so seriously, but won't bore you either. Than this book might be the book for you.

Cute little read
The Complete Adventures of Charlie and Mr. Willy Wonka[COMP ADV OF CHARLIE & MR WILLY][Paperback] - RoaldDahl

So far I only read the first book, which is willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. I didn't read the glass elevator one, but I will be next week. If I decide to do a update review, it wouldn't be until next year. I will probably just do a review for just this story.

I really enjoyed the first story it was just a funny cute little read and perfect for a readathon, the readathon I read it for was, #tistheseasonathon.

Favorite character like always are Charlie and his grandfather grandpa Joe. This is the first time I have ever read the book, I have watched the movie (the one with Johnny Depp,) so many times. I always love the different ways the naughty kids get their just reward. It was a book that I really needed for the Holiday season.
