Post-surgery TBR
Binti - Nnedi Okorafor
Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way - Bruce Campbell
Strange the Dreamer - Laini Taylor
The Exorcist - William Peter Blatty

So this is what I have settled on to read while I heal. Two are y'alls suggestions, and two are my own. I will be in the hospital Tuesday to probably Thursday. There is a chance I could be sent home Wednesday but I'm not holding my breath on that. I'm taking my Kindle so that I have a ton of options if I don't like what I'm trying to read. Here's to my journey!

Batgrl Makes a Reading List and Related Reblog: Bubba Ho-Tep by Joe R. Lansdale GIVEWAY (Only Today)
Bubba Ho-Tep - Joe R. Lansdale,Don Coscarelli

I am doing a quick giveway with Bubba Ho-Tep (Kindle version) to celebrate New Year and to say Goodbye to low taxes in EU countries e-book heaven. This giveway ends tonight at 10 pm (Finnish time, which is in 7 hours from now).

5 fastest and lucky personas will receive this awesome read, which is also an amazing movie. If you want to enter, let me know in the comment section and I will ask your Amazon account email through BL messages (and I need the information before 10 pm my time because you know, no low taxes tomorrow, no e-books).

Batgrl Commentary:

I completely forgot that there's a book version of Bubba Ho-Tep - I've just seen the cheesy Bruce Campbell film.

And so, probably because I have all these other things I really need to do today - I made a Bruce Cambell reading list. (Let me know if I've missed anything - still adding books.) I only own two things on it, but it's reminded me that I've been meaning to read If Chins Could Kill for ages.

Also I'm now having a nostalgia moment of wanting to watch Army of Darkness but it's tucked away in storage. But thanks to youtube I'm pretty sure I can get a hit of the scenes that'll cure that ill.

If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor
If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor - Bruce Campbell In If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor, Bruce Campbell describes what it was like for him, starting out and progressing, in the movie industry. He gives us an informative glance into all the behind-the-scenes stuff that we normally don't get to see. Everything from deciding which camera/film to use, to financing, and getting the word out. Of course, Bruce Campbell throws in some of that never-miss-a-beat humor that we all know and love him for. I'm not sure why this guy isn't an A-lister, because he certainly should be. I liked this book from a fans perspective, however, I'm not really interested in what it takes to make a movie. I know a lot of work, and people, are involved. I did enjoy the personal stories from the sets and in his home life though, which is pretty much what I was looking for when I bought this. If you are a fan of Mr. Campbell's, or if you are interested in how to possibly (because everyone won't have the same experience) get started making movies, then you should pick this one up.

If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor
If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor - Bruce Campbell Love it. Listened this one on audio and it was very cool to hear Bruce read his book (with the occasional update). I am a big fan of Bruce’s movies and it was cool to hear him talk about some behind the scenes stuff and how him and some of his friends, like Sam Raimi, got started.
