I was born and raised in a Christian home with parents very involved in our local church, my father was the bus minister and youth minister and my mother taught a Sunday school class and Awana class. Growing up in a Christian home you always hear about God and Jesus on a daily basis.

Many continue on their path with the Lord and many walk away or wander off the path God has for each of us.

This book is a quick dose of reality. From the very start you are drawn into this family's life. And through the father's eyes you see how God had worked in his wifes life and his childrens lives. And then you learn how God worked in his life without him realising it.

How in one quick moment, one horrible accident, how very much this families life could have changed and how God used this incident to show the father what a great life he really had and how he had always been there. How the father just wasn't listening. God was truly whispering loudly.

This book moved me to tears, touched my heart and my soul and I to realize maybe I haven't been listening as closely as I should be. Great book...

My Thoughts


I was asked by a friend of mine "Angels With Attitude Book Reviews" if I would be interested in reading a book for an author friend of hers and giving an honest review. First of "HELLO" I love to read so bring it on, I downloaded the book and went right to reading and am I so glad I did and now I sit and wait for book 2 to come out :)

What a great book, I love how she went back and forth between both main characters so throughout the entire book you feel like you are getting the full picture, the full story as both Echo and Ayden are telling the story, not just one character. You get to see and feel what each of them are going through during the story.

I can't imagine growing up as a princess, what a life that must be, but to grow up as a princess and feel like you don't fit in, don't belong, that your life isn't what it should be and you belong somewhere else - I could never imagine until being sucked into this book and through Echo's eyes I could feel how lonely, sad, angry and then for a brief time happy, joyful, the moments of freedom and love.

We all live in a society that daily we see someone struggling, and unless you have been through it yourself can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to be poor, fighting every day to survive. Welcome to Ayden's world. Living in a society that dictates when you can come and go from where you live. When you can come and go into another village that is better off than your own. Having to work endless hours, scratch and claw your way around. Having to humble yourself, be looked down upon and talked down to just to survive. This was Aydens world, between the bullies, his alcoholic worthless father, sick mother almost on death's door at times and two younger siblings hew as practically raising on his own and a good friend Feven who came and went as she pleased but took advantage of Ayden as she saw fit.

Ayden and Echo's lives collide in the palace and Ayden lashes out after getting in trouble thinking she is a spoiled rich brat just like all the other royals. Little does he know how very wrong he is. Echo is drawn immediately into his violet eyes and every day tries to find a way to get to know him, be near him, with him. After bumping into him she beings to realize even more how very different she is from her family.

Echo is being forced into an arranged marriage, the man Noah she is set to marry loves the women and Echo is very aware of his wandering ways. Her mother, father and sisters tell her this is her duty for the good of the kingdom. She loathes Noah, detests being around him and wants nothing more but to get away.

And with Ayden's help she does just that, she gets away. And though their time is brief, she is happy, they are happy, its almost like living in a dream world and having to pinch herself to make sure it is real. Until it all comes crashing in and they are forced to fight one another to the death for their very life.

But tables turn, and she learns she isn't who she has believed she was all her life, events change her, her life and her pending future - and now I wait for book two.

I have never been drawn to a character like I have been to Echo and Ayden their plight is one I look forward to watching grow and I hope they get their happy ending.

Always looking forward to reading Lydia Dares books I do enjoy them and love this series.

I enjoyed this read as the characters were a lot of fun to read about.Grayson being a black sheep of the family so to speak .Then there is Liviana the feisty werewolf with a tart tongue.Both character's give as good as they get with there banner of words they are well matched opponents for one another.



Grayson and Liviana meet when Grayson and his mother are paying a call to a neighbor. Liviana was sent to her grand-father from America by her father forcing her to become a lady and finally settle down and marry giving up here carefree lifestyle and wayward ways. Liviana will not going willingly and so the adventure begins.

From the very first meeting between Liviana and Grayson you sense there chemistry that they have between them.The thing is that Liviana is most bold and lets Grayson know that she knows exactly what he is giving him a total shock and setting him of guard.And in return she shows him a marking on her person letting him know exactly what she is.The playing field is now leveled !

These two have incredible chemistry and sexual tension between them yet knowing nothing will ever become of it as her grandfather will never approve of the match even if they acted on there feelings there pending romance would bed oomed from the get go.



I enjoyed this story a lot.The characters made you laugh quiet a lot throughout the story making this story a fun read.I do however have a couple of things that I did not like though . One of them is the fact that Liviana mother left England because of the rigid society she lived in yet Liviana's  father is now sending his daughter to England to experience those same constraints society puts on women making it no less then a prison .And the very one reason her mother left to go to America in the first place. I just wanted to smack him! What the heck was he thinking?Was he trying to break her spirit and her self worth ?

My only other complaint is that I felt the romance between the couple when it finally did happened that it was a bit rushed.The couple had gone to great pains to fight the attraction between them for so long that I expected to be so wowed and I expected to see an explosive encounter  when it did happen that all and all  it would have been worth the pain and suffering this couple had to endure to finally be together.But no fireworks ...



But, the over all story was a pleasant read.  Liviana made this story engrossing as she was just so feisty and full of vigor that you new she was a worthy adversary and she would somehow find a way out of her situation.As as for the dreamy good for nothing Rake Grayson  you feel his pain as he does not feel worthy of Liviana as he feels he has nothing to really offer her .Even though he feels all of this he can't stop feeling predatory toward her and it may be the down fall for both of them.

We meet Liviana brothers who stir up the pot  making the story even more livlier.And the pages are graced by past characters which I so enjoy from story to story.Be sure to read the entire series along with this current story you won't be disappointed it was a fantastic series ! Loved it ! And as always looking forward to the next book....
