Whisper of Love - Melissa Foster

Honestly, Whisper of Love is my favorite story involving the Braden family so far. The interactions between the characters and the way the settings are described made me love this story.

Tempest has always been a character I adored, even as a secondary character in the previous stories. She is such a sweet, patient, and caring person. I wanted the best for her. The Bradens are such a close-knit family and I enjoy reading about Tempest's siblings and cousins in this story.

Nash Morgan is a great character. I liked how standoffish he could see, yet he was willing to open up and communicate better for Tempest. He sounds like such an adorable single father who loves his son Phillip.

Phillip is probably one of the main reasons why I love this story so much. He is such a sweet boy who tries to follow in Nash's footsteps. It was very entertaining to see him grow throughout the story. His character made me wish the story had no ending and would keep going.

Bad Boys After Dark: Dylan - Melissa Foster

Dylan's story in the Bad Boys After Dark series is a great addition to the family's story. Dylan's story picks up right where Mick's story leaves off.

Ever since I read Mick's story, I've wanted to know how Dylan and Tiffany's would play out. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Tiffany Winters is a work-alcoholic and very independent woman. She does a wonderful job of achieving what she sets out for with her career. With all her success, she lets life pass her by. Tiffany doesn't seem like she takes much time to enjoy life, her success, and her family.

Dylan is the perfect boyfriend for Tiffany. He's patient, kind-hearted, and loyal. Dylan reads Tiffany well and is an excellent communicator. How could someone not fall for Dylan?

I enjoyed seeing how the characters grow and how their relationship helps them both. This story made me laugh and cry with what Tiffany and Dylan have had to go through during their lives.

Seaside Whispers (Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers): Matt Lacroux - Melissa Foster

Seaside Whispers is an adorable addition to the Seaside series, with characters that are fun and easy to love. Matt Lacroux has a difficult decision about his future to make. He's well educated, loyal, and goes for what he wants. I love seeing Matt interact with his family and friends. I especially enjoy the way Matt treats Hagen and cares for the young boy. It's certainly melts the heart reading the parts with Matt and Hagen together. Mira Savage is an independent, single mother. She's driven to provide a good life for her son, Hagen. I adore her parenting style and how much she encourages Hagen to embrace what he enjoys doing. Her patients for her son's questions and desire to learn is admirable. I rooted for Mira and Matt's relationship throughout the story. They make a very sweet couple. I do wish there was more interaction or cameos with the Seaside Girls. They are some of my favorite characters. Those girls always amuse me. The ending of this story had me laughing. Theresa got the Seaside Girls good. The ending also made me curious to what is next for the series. I'm really hoping Mira's best friend Serena gets her story told because the hints of the possible romances got me wanting to know more. Tru Blue - Melissa Foster

I had high expectations for the Tru Blue novel from Melissa Foster, and it was even better than I expected!!

The settings are well described in this book. I found it easy to picture where the characters are and what it is like. The details given about the Truman's art on the cars are very vivid. It made me wish I could see it in person.

The depth of the characters helps make this novel so great. The characters background stories helps make the reader understand who these characters are and why they've make the choices they do.

Truman's life was turned into a mess thanks to his mother, yet he makes the most of what he can. He is incredibly loyal and dedicated to his siblings, even if that means putting himself on the line to help save them. I love how much Truman cares about his siblings, friends, and Gemma. Even with the darkness of his past, Truman makes a perfect book boyfriend.

Gemma is so kind and loving, especially when it comes to Truman's siblings. I enjoy how pushy and bossy she can be when she wants something. She helps ground and balance Truman. The way Gemma's past is described makes me appreciate the way I grew up and how much my family cared. Although, I do wish there was more interaction between Gemma and her stepfather. The story left me curious as to how he truly is, especially with how their interaction is towards the end of the book.

Even the secondary characters are fantastic. I love the Whiskey family. I'm so excited that Bear Whiskey is getting a story!

Crushing on Love: Shannon Braden (Book 4: Bradens at Peaceful Harbor) (Love in Bloom: The Bradens) - Melissa Foster

Crushing on Love is an adorable addition to the Bradens series. I love how the setting in the mountains and town is described. It made me miss how peaceful nature can be away from cities and bigger towns.

I enjoyed the characters in this book.

Steve Johnson amazes me with how much restraint and caution he has. When most people would act on their desires, he thinks it through and thinks about the long-term consequences. He thinks it through when it comes to his actions with nature and in his relationships. I like that about him. His passion for nature and wanting to protect it is a huge part of this story.

Shannon Braden makes me smile. Her bubbly and sociable personality makes her very likable. Like most of the Bradens, when she wants something, she goes for it. If it isn't for her wanting to pursue something with Steve, I'm not sure Steve would ever take the risk. They are an adorable couple.

There are times that Shannon did frustrate me though. Steve look into ways to keep their relationship together and make things work. To me, it seems like Shannon doesn't make the same efforts as Steve. Shannon focuses so much on her life in Peaceful Harbor that she doesn't take much time to think of a life with Steve in Colorado.

Life decisions can be difficult to make, but they are often necessary to make for one's own happiness and growth.
