This took me a while to read, but not because I didn't like it. At one point Renna did something that pissed me off, so I stopped reading. Then I was also reading several other books; and life got in the way. But eventually I picked it back up and continued and I'm glad I did. This was a pretty en...

This was pretty good. I liked how the story grabbed me from the first page. Great characters. Awesome heroine. I loved how Renna went from suspicious/untrustworthy to a fully fledged member of the team. Just one thing. The ending. It's a bit of a cliffhanger!

DNF 62%I read so many good reviews that I thought this book was going to be great, and well it was for the first half ... but then it just got boring and immature. I don't know I just couldn't finish it, and I don't really care how it finishes because it doesn't have a great or intriguing plot. For ...

3.25 stars. I'm not the biggest fan of sci-fi stories, I'll admit, but the cover has been taunting me for a while, both on Amazon and on here, so when the price was only 77p I thought, "Why not?" We were thrown straight into Renna's world as jumped straight into her first job of the book and it ...

There’s nothing that blows my mind in this one; but neither was there anything that merited a 2 or 1. Overall, it’s an OK read. With a lead in Renna who is kick ass in owning herself and what she’s capable of and using what’s handy to get things done. In fact, it’s that she consistently gets out of ...

Overall I was looking forward to The Star Thief. Good sci-fi is hard to come by and apparently even harder to write. I was not impressed by this attempt at sci-fi or the inconsistent writing seen throughout the novel. The characters themselves also suffer from inconsistency, especially our main char...

The Star Thief is a great example of a NA book, and also the perfect amount of science fiction. I absolute love Renna. She’s spunky, and has a heart, even when her mind tells her to stop being so soft. She may be a thief, but she has a code she abides by. I love seeing her when she’s not kicking ass...

Cross-posted on Soapboxing The Star Thief by Jamie Grey is a hugely silly and energetic romp around a space opera playset of no particular note, and, as such, was utterly charming to me. Just about every single trope of the genre is deployed with extreme prejudice - the MacGuffin (actually, severa...

Just a quick post to tell everyone to read this book! I am not normally (or at all) a fan of books categorized at "New Adult" however this is one expection! I admit I am really into space operas right now and can't get my hands on enough of them so when I found out about this book I was giddy. Gi...
