I coudn't simply put it down. The Theft of Swords is great book with likeable characters, with the good plot and funny dialogues. It seems to be a little ... erm.. Tolkienish, but I decided to consider it ok.4 stars

I must have had these individual books on my Kindle for a while, picked up back when they were still independently published, but didn't begin reading this series until last weekend when my family and I went on a road trip and decided to listen an audiobook in the car to while away the hours. Now th...

This book was reviewed by Michael Cummings, senior reviewer with the Fantasy Book Addict. It’s somewhat embarrassing to admit that I had ample opportunities to read this book when it was in two parts, independently published – and failed to do so until it was bought up by Orbit and reprinted. That was...

Couldn't bring myself to finish the second "book". Everything, from the dialogue to the plot progression felt so forced. There were some fun moments, but my time is at a premium.

‘Theft of Swords’ is the first in Michael J. Sullivan’s series ‘Riyria Revelations’. It actually contains two books, ‘The Crown Conspiracy’ and ‘Avempartha’, because Michael was actually self-published originally. He became successful, took the sales data to publishers and is not published under Orb...

I received this from a Goodreads first-reads giveaway. I very much enjoyed it. I liked that it was a traditional epic type fantasy, but was still a fun easy read. The characters were all very engaging and I look forward to meeting them again in the sequels.

This is a brilliant piece of storytelling that any fantasy or action/adventure lover should go and read this. However before I divulge more information in that manner I would like to raise a few points. My first point being about fantasy in general while my second point will be about cliché and stor...

I really, really enjoyed this story of a pair of thieves who take on a job that lands them in hot water. They're set up as being the murderers of a king in a kingdom and they have to work out a way of getting away from the death penalty. Meanwhile they get caught up in a more complicated plot for th...
