This set of six discs, one DVD-ROM and five DVD-Video, provides the most comprehensive text and video coverage available on the historic final mission of Shuttle Discovery (OV-103) and her crew in February - March 2011. The STS-133 crew members were Commander Steven Lindsey, Pilot Eric Boe and Mission Specialists Alvin Drew, Michael Barratt, Steve Bowen and Nicole Stott. Bowen replaced astronaut Tim Kopra, who was injured in a bicycle accident in January. The shuttle enjoyed a flawless mission to the International Space Station (ISS) that saw the astronauts deliver the last pressurized module to the orbiting laboratory, the Permanent Multipurpose Module. Robonaut 2, a groundbreaking humanoid robot, also made the trip into space with Discovery, remaining on the station to act as an assistant to the crews there. Discovery's crew also enjoyed perfect weather at Kennedy that allowed them to return to Earth on the first opportunity of the day. Discovery delivered and installed the Permanent Multipurpose Module, the Express Logistics Carrier 4 and provided critical spare components to the International Space Station. This was the 35th shuttle mission to the station. * FIVE DVD-VIDEO DISCS: This spectacular set of five DVD-Video discs presents ten hours of high-quality, digital-source video of the historic mission of STS-133. These discs are designed to be played in regular DVD players (USA Region 1 format) and can also be viewed by most computer DVD drives. There are extensive views of the launch, a video history of the missions of Discovery; coverage of the EVAs and flight day highlights, and full coverage of the landing including alternate camera views, plus the post-landing crew walkaround. * DVD-ROM IMAGE AND DOCUMENT DISC: Thousands of high, medium, and low quality digital images of preflight activities, crew training, and in-flight electronic still camera views of mission events are presented in JPG format. Dozens of Shuttle and mission-specific documents are reproduced in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, including Mission Control status reports, in-flight messages to the crew, including "execute packages" and technical updates, Flight Data File checklists, and training manuals.
