With 31 Bond Street, Ms. Horan presents the reader with historical fiction at its finest. It is a story that is quite literally "ripped from the headlines", with those headlines first printed in the 1850s. A real-life murder mystery, Ms. Horan does an excellent job of filling in the blanks, imagin...

I thought this book was interesting, but really dryly written. With the twistedness of the storyline, I think the author could have drawn the readers in more.

This ripped-from-the-headlines, made-for-the-tabloids tale has it all. Horan writes as if she is telling you the story. This isn't a good thing. It may just be me, but there was no "getting into the story" or the experience of the written page disappearing. I felt I was getting the story told at me and I was the ungreatful kid who just wanted to get back to his Supe...
