My spouse was throwing out the books we had for our kids quite some time ago. I guess she figured we'd never get the chance to read them to our grandson. Perhaps not. Whatever, I snagged a few before I took the rest to church to be sold at the annual church "Faire". Ordinarily, I don't read dead-tre...

For more reviews, check out blog, Craft-CycleI just recently watched the newest film adaptation of Paddington's story, so I figured it was time to re-read the book as well.A fun account of Paddington's misadventures. This is a hilarious book that is also heart warming. Each chapter describes a diffe...

I picked this one up because Paddington was the answer to one of our trivia night questions. I missed this one and realized I didn't know anything about Paddington beyond darkest Peru, marmalade sandwiches and the train station. It's a marshmallow book (sweet and light). Each chapter reads almost ...

Paddington bear was found in a London train station with a note around his neck saying, "Please look after this bear, thank you." The Browns just couldn't pass by and do nothing, so they took him home, not realizing that things would never be the same. Paddington was a sweet bear and he tried to do ...

This book is about a young bear traveling from the Darkest Peru to find someone to watch over him. His original name was one that no one was able to understand. So when the Brown family met him at the Paddington station, they ironically named him Paddington. This book is great for older elementary g...

This book is about a bear who is found at the bus station by a family. There was a sign on his luggage that said "please take care of this bear. Thank you". The family did just that, but they did not know the the bear could be so much trouble. I would use this a 1st or 2nd grade setting as a read al...

I love the book Paddington. I would use this book in the classroom for compare and contrast lesson. We would compare this teddy bear to other books we have read about teddy bears. We would also talk about all the human characteristics that Paddington has. I would use this book in 3rd-5th grade.

This is a sweet book that I read in Eng 310. This also has a movie that kids would love. This would be a fun read aloud and to draw bears or introduce the topic of bears. I would use this in a 2nd or 3rd grade classroom. This would be an easy way to access previous knowledge in children who may have...

The first time I read this book, I was a 6y/o first grade GATE student in a 6th grade reading class. We did it as a play, I think. Paddington's story broke little me's heart, but I returned to it time and time again, because the idea of finding a family to just love you seemed so exceptional to me...

I've seen a fair amount of remember when go past my feed in the last week. I'm a fan of remember when, as I have a sentimental soul, so I'm going to join in. Remember when Sarah Montambo had that one review of Paddington that would break your heart? I can't look it up anymore, obviously, but as I re...
