Short Review It has been quite some time since I have read Suzanne Enoch, and I bought this book about a year ago, and its been on my shelf collecting dust, so since there have been a few books come into this series, I thought I would try reading the first installment, before I got the others. In th...

Fantastic! Funny, sexy, heartwarming and totally enjoyable. Loved both of the main characters as they argued, kissed and struggled with themselves to their HEA. Best scene - the one where Oliver knocks a hole through the floor and ceiling above Diane's apartment so he can reach her faster. As other r...

I debate between 3 and 4 stars here. I love the women in this book and what they're trying to accomplish. However, there is just something about me and Enoch that just don't connect. I generally like the ideas, but somewhere in the execution I'm left wanting more. Not in a good, give me more of the ...

Lady Diane Benchley's late husband was a dissolute gambler, who left her with nearly nothing after she paid off his creditors. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........DNFI made it halfway, so someone pat me on the back. What a snooze. Maybe this book only seemed worse than it is because I tried listening to it instead of just reading it. So not only did I get a boring story with characters I could careless about, but I had to suffer t...

It took me a while to warm up to the heroine and for a long while I wondered why the hero was attracted to her, but the story was intriguing and kept me interested.

3.5 stars uneven pacing and brittle tone for Enoch. Liked the unusual premise and characters thoughFTC: Review copy courtesy of the publisherLet's just get this out of the way: the title, A Beginner's Guide to Rakes, has zip to do with the story. Nada. Zilch. Squat. It's a throwaway title. And tha...

This was a delightful book set within an interesting setting. I enjoyed Diane and her bold attitude and her cleverness for opening a gaming club with all female members (besides a few burly footman) where the females are treated just as females and not expected to be anything else unless they choos...

Diane has a plan and is ready to execute it but the last thing she expects is to learn that her business partner had a...
