A lightning strike lands teenager Emma Townsend in the middle of Charlotte Bronte’s Gothic Romance, Jane Eyre, and as she jumps between that world and her reality, she must decide where — and with whom — her future lies.A part of me knew that if I gave myself over to this world completely, I’d be in...

I don't think it's a secret that I LOVE Jane Eyre. It has earned a special place on my shelf and I try to re-read it once a year. It's one of the only books I actually enjoyed reading for English class back in high school. So of course I can't help but be drawn to a retelling, especially one with a p...

Very unique and creative. I love all the parallels between Emma's life and Jane Eyre's and how wonderfully the two stories compliment one another. Smartly done, and an enjoyable angsty romance to boot. ;)

A Breath of Eyre was a lovely debut novel about Emma Townsend who gets to live her own life as well as Jane Eyre’s in a fascinating re-telling that I loved. My favorite thing about modern retellings is looking for little references and clues to the original story. I had a lot of fun in A Breath of...

I'm pretty sure this author lives within a mile or two of me, so I really wanted to like her just for camaraderie sake. I mean, when there's the possibility that I could meet someone at the grocery store I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Breath of Eyre is based on the story of a modern Ja...

Jane Eyre is my all-time favorite novel. It was the only thing that kept me company when I was in my pre-teens. It was the book I relied on. I couldn't get enough of the movie and tv adaptations that I decided to search around for retellings and re-adaptations of the novel and I found A Breath of Ey...

I loved this book. I loved that it wasn't just about some girl who gets plonked into 19th century Gothic England and has to learnt to cope. There is so much more to it than that! Sparkling review to come!!! :)

3.5 starsMy favorite parts of A Breath of Eyre were when Emma was suck in Jane's world. I thought the last quarter of the book lost momentum and introduced too many issues that were hastily wrapped up. I am interested to see how the series progresses, though. I love the concept of this series, ju...

3.5/5 starsI went into a Breath of Eyre without reading the original "Jane Eyre" or any previous retellings, therefore I had no expectations. A Breath of Eyre was a refreshing retelling where Eve Month that took an original story and made it her own. People who already read Jane Eyre will be surpris...

I love Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. So I was excited to read Breath of Eyre, and a little nervous as well. I think that Jane -- a plain looking orphan with a strong will and a rich inner life who ends up in love with her employer, a dashing yet troubled older man with a horrible secret -- can be a...
