I almost feel like Claire and Jamie are family. We have been through a lot together over the years and it seems like things never really get any easier do they? This was my first time through this book and I went ahead and did the audio instead of reading the paper version. This was a really lon...

Book 5 was very hard to get through but this brought back my love for Jamie, Claire, Brianna, and Roger. There was a lot of action in this novel and I felt like the pacing never rested. I can't wait to read the next one.

An amazing series, so much so that I'm halfway in just over a month! Very interesting historical plot line without being solely about the history - the story it tells is so intriguing it hurts. The characters are so well written and you become so attached it honestly made me cry a few times. Th...

Tremendous ups & downs in this story. The overwhelming point being love. So beautiful I feel the pain of tightness in my chest & the sting in my eyes.

If you are interested in checking out the series (which thanks to the current TV show, I suspect mo...

The first book had me completely absorbed in the little details and fascinating plot, the second book made me angry by the huge jump in time and then made me happy, while the third book continued to hold my interest. The fourth book was a little slow. The fifth book made me wish for all that time sp...

Don't get me wrong, I love Outlander. BUT this book was soooo long. I plowed through the first four books in about a week each, The Fiery Cross took about three weeks and A Breath of Snow and Ashes took six. I listened to the first two, read the 3rd and 4th as an eBook, and gave up on the hardback a...

This is one of those series that I tend to put off for a while. It's not that I don't love the series, it's just that all the books are about 1000 pages long and that always makes me stop and think why do I do this to myself? Then I start the book and I can't put it down. They always take me at leas...
