I am absolutely charmed (no pun intended) by this cozy mystery series. I’m not entirely sure why – I don’t find the MC’s supposedly Texan roots at all authentic, I don’t care about vintage clothing, and I generally dislike Romance tropes appearing in my mystery/supernatural genre books. But, still, ...
Interesting read, but not a favorite.
Check out my other listens at Eargasms Audiobook ReviewsReally interesting cozy mystery that mixes a touch of paranormal into the mix. Great characters and stories that flow nicely. Some of the twists are predictable, but that does not take away from the entertainment value.Lily is a natural witch a...
6 years ago I moved to the other side of the world from my home state of Florida to a place you'll all recognise as Australia, but I like to affectionately refer to as Opposite Land. This realisation struck me when I was explaining the move to my friend's then 6-year-old boy by telling him all about...
This is the second book in the Witchcraft Mystery series by Juliet Blackwell. This book opens shortly after the end of the first book, Secondhand Spirits. This time, Bronwyn, the Wiccan herbalist who has a small corner of Ivy's vintage clothing store, Aunt Cora's Closet, knows that Ivy is a natura...
Another enjoyable paranormal mystery from Juliet Blackwell. This, for me, was on a par with the first book in the series, Secondhand Spirits. Our resident witch and vintage clothing expert this time takes on a suspected haunting at the Art Department of the local college. Strange noises and occurrenc...
Wondering why I didn't pick this up sooner! I really like Lily. She is finally finding her place and is unapologetic for who she is. The mystery is a good one. I love that this author has done her research (re Wicca/spell-craft/etc). This really adds to the book and makes it stand apart from oth...
I didn't care much for the first one in this series, but this one was good! Ghosts, demons & murder at the San Francisco School of Fine Arts. Love Oscar, Lily's goblin come pot bellied pig familiar! Will be reading the next in this series shortly.
Another great book in the Witchcraft Mystery series. I liked this one even better then the first and hate that I have to wait for the third to be published. Oscar has to be my favorite Familiar ever. I highly recommend this series to any magical/mystery lover!
Good follow-up, if not a little confusing at parts, to the first Witchcraft Mystery.Lily is starting to grow into herself more and the cast of characters is less as a backbone and more of a compliment/complement.It will be interesting to see what develops between Lily and Max and Aidan. Also, Sailor ...
