Up late with insomnia so I re-read this (I last read it almost a decade ago). One of my favorite Spenser novels, it's a little bit more "epic" than most, and probably a little less believable, but pure escapist fun anyway.
Not one of my favorites in the series. A bit longer than most of the previous books with a pretty much straight ahead thriller type plot which was not to my taste. The banter between Spencer and Hawk kept me reasonably entertained but Susan started to wear on my nerves. Listened to the audio vers...
