Two of the nation's largest corporations stand accused of causing the deaths of children. Representing the bereaved parents, the unlikeliest of heroes emerges: a young, flamboyant Porsche-driving lawyer who hopes to win millions of dollars and ends up nearly losing everything -- including his sanity.A Civil Action is the searing, compelling tale of a legal system gone awry -- one in which greed and power fight an unending struggle against justice. Yet it is also the story of how one man can ultimately make a difference. With an unstoppable narrative power reminiscent of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood, A Civil Action is an unforgettable reading experience that leaves the reader both shocked and enlightened.

This was a real page turner for the majority of the book. Near the end it stalled a little. So instead of 5 stars I give it a 4.5 especially since it is about real life and very relevant to today's corporate pillage of our world!
One of the few books I read during law school. I really wanted to be a product liability lawyer in those days, so naturally this appealed to me.
A wonderful read overall, this book feels like a novel, though it is non-fiction. It was extremely well-written and kept my interest throughout. The outcome was slightly disappointing, though that is what actually happened. I'd definitely recommend this book though.
I read this book when I was fifteen years old and decided I didn't like it because it didn't have a happy ending. It's nonfiction, you idiot child!
