Ok... So I don't do puns very well... However, I wanted to make it known that the Wheel of Time series is a good one for Epic lovers. This isn't your regular trilogy, I still have 3 books to go in the series and I know I will finish all of them. Robert Jordan did a fantastic job of making you lov...

Dumai's Wells happened. And Rand al'Thor is going to be difficult from here on in. Which is why he'll need minders more than ever. Cadsuane and Sorilea come up with a plan.I don't know why they created new art for the trade paperback here instead of keeping the much-vaunted ebook art as with the res...

Overall it was a quality follow-up to Lord of Chaos. It moved a bit slow at times, and the sections in Ebou Dar felt like they were a unnecessarily long, but there seemed to be a good bit of character development for all characters, which was a pleasant surprise.

Everything happens in a rush at the end of this one. Felt there was a good mix of time with all the characters.

Nevermind. I don't really care. Hate reading isn't my thing but it passes the time. Again, my most sincere and heartfelt thanks to Michael Kramer and Kate Reading, I wouldn't have got through it without your narration. Thank you. If I didn't think before Jordan had a problem with sex, I'd have t...

All I can say about this book is that nothing happens. This is not a [book:Waiting for Godot] or a [author:Ernest Hemingway] nothing happens, but rather a book in which something is supposed to happen but, well, nothing happens. Look, I am a fan of books in which nothing happens, as long as nothing ...

3.5 StarsA Crown of Swords hints at the beginning of the slow and poorer sections of The Wheel of Time Series. Its slower pace, rushed ending and tendency to throw up characters, ideas and plot points with the promise that 'they'll be important later' highlight all the major flaws of these books. Ho...

After the conclusion of Crown of Swords, I very much wondered why it took a whole other book to continue on the same plot lines from Lord of Chaos. These two books should have been combined into one. Now, I understand that this could be said for any of the Jordan books, but #7 was mostly filler. Cad...

The only way out is down...Edit: Meeeeh. Am supremely squicked by the whole Mat/Tylin thing and am starting to feel a little deja vu about how I mostly just want to know about Egwene but she's the one I hardly ever even see. I may lurch on toward Path of Daggers but it might be time for a break.

A well-balanced installment with important character developments A Crown of Swords is a well balanced installment of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series, especially when looking at it as part of the series' 2nd Act. The book's various story lines pick up where they left off in the previous v...
