This is incredibly bland and reads like Jeffrey Archer but just intellectualised and certainly nothing remotely close to Freedom at all. Plodding prose and chronological chapters just makes the structure dull as the writers fills in the events as they unfold.

I just can't with this book. The characters aren't interesting, the plot isn't interesting, the writing itself isn't interesting. Reading the first half has turned out to be kind of a chore and I think I'm throwing in the towel.
