There have already been many good reviews written about this book, some praising and some condemning. I myself loved the book and the way it is narrated by the different characters. Is it weird that my favorite character is Tyrion? The story is about a kingdom in turmoil for the throne (thus the...

I haven't seen any of the show on purpose. I knew it would be something that I would be immediately obsessed with. I also wanted to read the books, and by promising myself I could watch the show after reading, I knew I'd get to it faster. I really enjoyed this book. The main reason why this isn't ...
The Reading Perusals of Rose Summers
I feel like any review that I could possibly write wouldn't do justice to the mammoth and epic read that "A Game of Thrones" turned out to be. There were some truly hateful bastards in this, the first in an unending series by Martin. I think the writing was top-of-the-line, the sense of place was spot on, pacing neve...

Normally, I always read a book before watching the tv show or movie made from it. I didn't with this one, and I think that made my experience better. There are so many characters. I think I would have felt and little overwhelmed and lost reading it first. I'm current on the tv show, and I read t...

Outstanding book. The characters in this book are some of the strongest I've seen in a fantasy novel in years, probably even better than Jordan's WOT. Looking forward to the other novels in this series and am curious as to how they adapted this book to the HBO mini-series. If you like fantasy, you W...

I watched the series before reading this and I am kind of glad that I did. This story is told from a lot of POVs so being invested in each character before hand was very helpful. I really enjoyed this book! The characters and the world are truly amazing.
