The "not too much" part in my historical label is too pronounced.The transitions from contempt -> attraction -> love -> concern are, wanting to put it mildly, abrupt.
Overall, this story was a good one. I thought it was a bit slow in the beginning but it picked up about page 50 and from there it was engaging.
