Seriously though. I cannot read anymore about the corruption at the Suerte. It's boring. Unfortunately after a fantastic read "The Nature of the Beast" I felt Penny back-slid a lot and we have "A Great Reckoning." Gamache is now not retired and is the now head of the Sûreté Academy. Evaine's Books, Books and More Books
And Louise Penny hits it out of the park once again. I cannot tell you how much I adore her characters and her stories and her insight into the human mind and all the messy emotions that roil within. AudiobookFantastic book. I didn't figure out who the "bad" guy(s) are/were until the end of the book. A past emotional pain of Armand's comes to light and a village mystery is solved. Also we're kind of left hanging on what is next in Armand's life. Very good book. Very good series.
