The first full novel in this series and it's great fun. Mary Jo got me with her start in the library and kept my interest throughout. Set around the time of the Bonnie Prince Charlie rebellion this is a story of hard choices and trying to keep love alive. Gwynne Owens is a very strong character...

Another one that goes in the did not finish pile. I've enjoyed the books I've read by Mary Jo Putney before, but this time around I didn't like the hero or the heroine. I gave up 100 pages in. There was just no chemistry between the two main characters-and the plot had such potential.

Ms. Putney creates a good story which is always a joy to read. Her stories having HEA and this one is no different. She mixes it with the hot Scottish Laird in this story. Hmmm.
