4.0 A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Being the Adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall, and His Squire, Egg
These 3 prequel novellas to the Game of Thrones series have it all, jousting knights, intrigue, rebellion, etc. If they are any indication, I can't wait to read the Game of Thrones books!

4.0 Back in the mood for GoT.
I really enjoyed meeting characters I've read about in the Song of Ice and Fire series. It was sort of a slow read with plenty of blood and gore and political intrigue but nothing on the level of the other books. I'm happy I read it and any fan of the series would enjoy it, too, I think.
