Well, 4 stars is pushing it, but this just was so much better than the past couple of books in the series - much more in line with what I liked in the first book. There's a whole lot less sex, much more interaction with characters outside Merry's harem of men, and......Stuff Actually Happens!
I went from almost in tears to terrified to excited. It's the first Gentry book to evoke real emotion from me. Perhaps that makes me biased, but if an author can make me feel like that then I'm content.
