by Charles Todd
This is another compelling story written by mother/son duo Charles Todd. In Lonely Death, Inspector Rutledge is called to a small village in Sussex where a series of murders have taken place. Identity disks (A precursor to the current dog-tags used by soldiers) are found in the mouths of the victims...
2.5, really.I love Rutledge and his ghost, but this plot was meandering, unlikely and just not as compelling as some of the other books in the series.
