So here we are at Vol 2 which is comprised of books 3 and 4 in Mary Calmes's series 'A Matter of Time' and again the narrator is Paul Morey and again this was an enjoyable listening experience...not great but no really issues. I like Paul Morey but for me he just didn't quite capture the character a...

So I finally caved and listened to the audio books for this series and I have to admit this all came down a notch for me...partially because the narrators were ok but I wasn't enchanted with them and partially because while I enjoy this series please don't hate me when I say that this is not my favo...

I've been meaning to read this book forever. It's a - I hesitate to say classic, maybe foundational work? - in the M/M genre, and people get fanatical about it. It gets referenced all the time. On the other hand, I've picked up over the years that it has all the Mary Calmes' flaws in spades, so...

I mean, he keeps popping up out of nowhere and barks orders at Jory. It doesn't feel romantic to me. Honestly, Jory...

*Audio edition* Oh come on!!! You have got to be freakin kidding me! That ending? That cliffhanger?? Really? Well I can see how some readers take issue with Jory and how loved he is on immediate sight. I admit that it was a bit over the top and I'm not sure how I would have interpreted many of ...

I don't know what to say about this. It doesn't have a HEA at the end of either book. Sam and Jory each bug me in a variety of ways. I don't know whether I'll go on with this. Giving it a few days. I dislike not getting to the HEA, but I dislike it dragging on and being subjected to more crazy strok...

Second or third re-listen. Although one picks up errors by the narrator and/or author after hearing it several times, I still love this series.
