I have some issues with the world building here that made it difficult to really immerse myself into the story. Those are my own though and had I taken the time to do some preemptive skimming prior to purchase rather than smirking at the mermaid angle and making sure it wasn't a three-some tale... ...

I jumped in to this series wanting to try a new author and happened to come across this book. I love paranormal romances, and I'll admit it, I've always thought mermaids were awesome since I was a kid. (Little Mermaid anyone?) I've yet to read a romance story with a mermaid as a main character, so I...

Anna is a descendant of Ariel, the first mermaid to rescue her love from the ocean and be cursed to shape shifting between worlds. Like all daughters of Ariel, Anna is to fall in love rescuing a man not of the ocean and dying on before her twenty-first birthday. Not accepted by either world, Anna ha...

This story is pretty tough for me to review. At this time, I do not want to give out a summary of the story and I will just go ahead and give my thoughts. The story starts, innocently enough with a mermaid, Anna rescuing an angel falling from the sky. Apparently, this angel, Jonah was wounded in ...

All I can do is sit here and ride the last emotional waves of my first experience with a novel from Joey W Hill? At the beginning of The Mermaid’s Kiss I had to get a feel for the author’s voice, I didn’t instantly “get” what she was going for with Jonah and Anna. Jonah was “My Lord” and Anna was “L...

I don't know what is going on but I didn't care for this book. Don't get me wrong, there is some good parts and then there are the bad parts. I know the H got on my nerves with "little one" and I threw the book several times. I don't like that nickname. He said it so much I almost DNF it. I'm going ...

I started reading with low expectation, judging it as a normal bodice rippping book. It was a bodice ripping, but I can say that it has better climax scene than Twilight. The quotes on each of chapter's beginning, though, is definitely over the top.

I really wanted to like this story but it fell flat in a few places for me. Based on The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen, it replaced the prince with an angel named Jonah and was as dark as the original was meant to be before it was Disneyfied. I just don't know where this story was going....
