The sex is HOT (Cameron Dane's sex is always hot), but unlike in most of Dane's books, the sex was divorced from any believable emotional ties, which made the story very Meh. The reader knows from the beginning that Lucien is out to get revenge on Sophie, but not the whys and wherefores of the plot....
This is a difficult book for me to review, likely because I'm such a big fan of Cameron Dane's work. I loved the gothic elements of A Perfect Storm Rising and said elements are what drew me into the story. But the romance, the characters, the revenge plot, and the sex simply didn't work as well for ...
As far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong with Cameron Dane. This is another winner with a wonderful HEA.
I love all of the characters from this story, and I can't wait to read Magnus and Royce's story!
