This one goes back on the shelf for now. Over the top dramatic and gothic, I'm not in the mood for characters that are always flush with some irrational emotion (or deconstructing those emotions ad naseum in their inner monologue).

This historical romance had a good plot and exciting ending but it got a bit heavy with characters ruminating about the situation and their feelings so I skimmed some. Brother-in-law of newly widowed Jonet sends his nephew Cole in to tutor her boys and spy on her..

Loved, loved, loved it! The hero Cole is totally scrumptious and Jonet the heroine is a sparkling delight, even with her temper and outbursts.
