The Swan Knight was never a favorite of mine, and this is a pretty faithful retelling. It includes a nice afterword with further reading suggests.

Shephard's retelling of fairy and folk tales are wonderfully charming. This one is about how the term a baker's dozen came into being. The illustrations are wonderful. It is a beautifully told fairy tale.
