I think I would have liked this a lot more if it weren't for the rather smug and self-congratulatory author's note that preceded the story. I kept waiting for it to be as good as promised and consequently was doomed to disappointment.
One of the scariest books I've ever read. Unnerving, hair-raising, hot, and creepy because I currently live in Houston. It's short and only $.99 but I'd have been willing to pay more and not felt ripped off, it's that good.
