Though she tries returning to the life she knew before the accident, Pierce can't help but feel at once a part of this world, and apart from it. Yet she's never alone . . . because someone is always watching her. Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back. But n...

[1.5 stars] No… No… why? It started so good and then, half way through, it just… meh! I didn’t enjoy the story at all, it was quite boring actually. I didn’t feel anything towards any of the characters and the truth is I don’t even care about any of them. So, no, I won’t be reading the second one.

Meg Cabot is one of those authors who can write in any genre, her usual chick lit is something I loved growing up. Abondon, while the main character is a girl focuses more on mythology and fantasy. But its just as well written as The Princess Diaries. Pierce died, falling into a pool and drowning ...

The book was amazing, i can for sure say i read it like 4 times at least. It is a very modern retelling of the Persephone and Hades myth just with Pierce being Persephone and John being Hades. Pierce died when she was 15 but came back to life, only she knows why. Two years later she moves to Isla Hu...

This book was frustrating to read. The story could have been good. All the informations needed to understand came too late, though. I mean, we can't guess what led to this situation, can we?

3.5 stars.I had no idea what to expect with this book as the synopsis was a little vague and I have to say now, slightly false. The way it was written near the start was intriguing, trying to figure out what had happened between Pierce and John in the Underworld when only being given quick peeks here...
