Interesting set of stories about girls and World War I. As Sally Nicholls says in her story Going Spare "They didn't just do nothing...All those women. They changed the world." It doesn't pull punches, it's full of people being broken and learning how to cope with tragedy.

I'm not sure who this book is for. If, like me, you go into it looking for a retold Sleeping Beauty, you'll be disappointed.
