From August 2015, I am Chair in Sociology and Social Theory at the University of Leeds. I have also been Professor of Sociology at Sciences Po, Paris and Professor of Sociology at UCLA, and have also worked at Aarhus University, the University of Sussex, the University of Utrecht, and Louvain-la-Neuve. My latest book is IMMIGRATION, INTEGRATION AND MOBILITY, a collection of essays from 1998 to 2014, and I am also working on a follow-up to my introduction to Japanese contemporary art and society, BEFORE AND AFTER SUPERFLAT, published in early 2012.
