Look, it was bad. I knew it was going to be bad. No surprises here.Pros: Plenty of Edward. Also Nathaniel if you're into that. (And Micah too I guess.)Zombies aplenty! A couple great actions scenes.Cons: Terrible writing. But we knew that, yeah?Still too many side characters I do not give a fuck abo...
Steamy reads with a dollop of magic, mystery and hot... hot men
Enjoyed this tale for the most part and it seems as if LKH has returned to form. There was a story and quite a bit of excitement. On the other hand I feel like we are retracing our steps/ recycling earlier books. Hasn't Anita done to death the whole 'arrive in a new place, deal with judgmental loc...

I almost can't remember the plot of the book because the sex took over this time. In the past, I have enjoyed Anita's sexual escapades and all the weird stuff that went on. This time, there was more sex than story and it was just too weird for me. This will probably be the last one of the series I r...

STOP THE PRESSES! ANITA GETS BACK TO SOLVING CRIMES IN THIS INSTALLMENT!Wow, it's been way too long. This book gets back to Anita's roots and actually has a plot, instead of being a series of sex scenes clumsily pasted together with some vampire/shapeshifter politics. I did think there was a lot o...

So glad that LKH seems to have gotten back in the game with the Anita Blake books. I really enjoyed this book. Fast paced, intense, sexy (but not so much as to overshadow the plot).

I doubt I will ever be above to give Laurell's books anything higher than 2 stars anymore. Anita Blake, and if rumor is true the author herself, has read too much of her own press.Anita being the savior and everyone's love interest is wearing thin.Anita constantly be shocked and amazed when some co...

This is possibly the worst review I've ever posted, so I'll keep it short. Another typical Hamilton mess, this plotless, pointless book (weighted with prolific attempts at padding and poor examples of penetration and procedural) could barely keep my attention; however, I had several friends who volu...

Wow I loved this book, it was a return to the early Anita Blake in my eyes. There was actually more action than bedroom action in this book. In the last book I felt the story was rushed in favour of all the sex but this book took it's time with the story, built it up and let it flow and added just e...
