I LOVE dystopian/end of the world fiction but did not love this book. At times it was almost like walking into a movie you've missed the first 20 minutes of and trying to play catch up. The pacing was all over the place, as was the storytelling, which was sometimes confusing, and world building. Th...

Aftertime (Aftertime, #1) is a realistic Post-Zombie Apocalypse story that is about its survivors, not its zombies. The character-driven story is hard, gritty and totally believable – from its flawed characters, to its “Eww” moments of horror.

This book felt fragmented and distorted. Can't finish it, really. I may give it another try in some time, though.

Gritty little zombie apocalypse drama - I was alternately nauseous at the spare but VERY visual depiction of zombie behavior, oy, but it was engaging and a fun read as only a depressingly violent and near hopeless zombie dystopian tale can be. Whee! I am alternately dreading and looking forward to...

Great book by a great author!! I absolutly loved the characters and can't wait to see them again. Such a compeling story of redemption, and how far people are wiing to go to be safe and to make themselves whole again.

It's all in the perspective, but there's a proverb that summarises the situation in Afterlife quite perfectly: Homo homini lupus. If the wolves had survived.Though this is a zombie novel, the true horrors of Afterlife don't come from the fever survivors, but from the humans. It was humanity that des...
