Ok, I LOVED the second book in this series. The main character is pretty hilarious. There was a laugh out loud scene involving a broken sink in a pub that had me laughing while sitting in a coffee shop. It's rare for me to actually laugh out loud while reading.

Fun, rather fluffy, but enjoyable.

Another good book by MC Beaton. I love Agatha Raisin. She's not pretentious and she most of the time says what she feels. The story was good and I had no idea who the killer was. That makes a good mystery.

Second in the Agatha Raisin series. Agatha and many other women fancy the local vet so when he turns up dead there are a lot of suspects. Agatha is somewhat modern Miss Marple that somehow just doesn't ring all that true. Not my favourite detective series but not the worst either.

I love Agatha Raisin. She is funny, slightly flawed and quite believable. In this installment, the mystery kicks off quickly and it kept me guessing until the very end.

I can't help but like Agatha, even though she really isn't one of the most likeable heroines around. She's just so... genuine. And fun.

I think I enjoyed this one a little more than the first. Now that the set up of Agatha's move to the village is over we can jump right into village life and the next murder. Loved Agatha scaring off James when she'd get too eager and the scene with her destroying the ladies room in the pub trying ...
