I was a baby in the Holocaust in Budapest and you can read my story on my websitewww.agnesgrunwaldspier.com'The Other Schindlers' is my first published book - rather a shock at the age of 65. It is now available in Danish with the title 'Schindlers Ligemaend' which means Schindlers Peers. My book is also available as an eBook and now in paperback with a Postscript updating some of the stories. A Brazilian-Portuguese translation is available as 'Os Outros Schindlers'.My book covers 30 rescues in 10 different countries and I examine the motivation of the rescuers and also compare their courage during the Holocaust with issues we face today. I have had personal contact with the families where the rescuer or rescued are no longer alive. There are contemporary and modern photos in the book. The book has been remarkably well received and its publication has changed my life - it has been very exciting with interviews on TV and radio and a US tour with a presentation in the UN bookstore in New York, book signing at the Washington Holocaust Museum, a presentation at Georgetown University and talks in Vermont and Providence RI.Read the book, tell your friends and most importantly tell your children.
