After reading the brilliant Batman, Vol. 1: The Court of Owls, this one doesn't measure up. It's a cool idea, Batman in various international locales, doing what he does. But it was underwhelming in execution. Probably the best story was Tao, but it still wasn't that memorable. Overall, the artwork ...

The second volume of Batman: Black & White is much like the first. Editor Mark Chiarello gathers together some of the most acclaimed writers and artists who then produce short stories about The Dark Knight. While I didn’t find the overall experience as strong as the first collection, there were st...

The story, and the re-imagined versions of each character are pretty interesting. The main character, Robin Drake, is sent out to warn the world that the evil creature that was thought to be dead has come back. Along the way he encounters his fellow JLA members in their own modified roles, and recei...

Kitschy, with a B-movie feel to it and yet somehow oddly entertaining. I think the more recent Dredd 3D film nailed the original work a lot more accurately than the Stallone movie of the early 90s. Anyway, watching the more recent film peaked my curiosity and I had it on good authority that this was...

I was really letdown by how this series finished up. Don't get me wrong, where they went with this story made a lot of sense as it was the most logical conclusion. Of course Batman was going to return to prominence and confront Azrael, it was what they had been setting up all along. It just felt ...

I spent the majority of my review for Knightfall: Volume 1 gushing over how much I enjoyed the story and how pumped up it made me for The Dark Knight Rises. Having just finished Volume 2 and seen The Dark Knight Rises twice, I can easily say that I enjoyed this collection on a much higher level.I'm...

This whole Knightfall arc was a hell of a ride. Highly recommended to Batman fans, and those highly anticipating the release of The Dark Knight Rises, as I'm sure some of this will be present in the movie.
