Alan M. "Woody" Schwitzer, Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist and Professor of Counseling at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Schwitzer completed his graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and The University of Texas at Austin Counseling & Mental Health Center. He has been Assistant Director of the Tulane University Counseling & Testing Center, and Assistant Professor and Training Director of the James Madison University (JMU) Counseling and Student Development Center. Dr. Schwitzer specializes in college student health and mental health -- and in teaching diagonsis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning. He has published over 40 journal, magazine, and newspaper articles and his work has been cited more than 500 times. His 3 books are available on Amazon. Dr. Schwtizer has Chaired the Council of Journal Editors of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and was editor of the Journal of College Counseling.
