Growing up in the howling wilds of Wyoming, Alden Scott was forced to develop an imagination to stave off the boredom of small-town life. Later, he got what he had always hoped for and found himself careening through an increasingly bizarre life. He soon began to long for the dangerous boredom once again. Hoping that writing ridiculous stories might let him avoid having to live through them, he began his journey down the dark path of becoming a writer.
