I can't stress enough how much I do not care for neither characters nor the writing. DNF-ing at 65%. 1 star for the part I read The poor thing is tripping all over itself. I don't mean any of the MC's, I mean the book itself: the writing, the plot., the ...uh, grammar.RS & AK, Leo Tolstoy you are ...
Quinn is dying from grief. In walks Brady and now Quinn has a chance if he can learn to let go of the pain and parts of the past. This is beautifully written by Alex Kidwell. There was a pretty good balance handling the pain with relief for the reader. While Brady sees the family that is around him.
Recommendation from my mother. She knows I have a weakness for cute MC so she said I totally had to read this one. Normally we agree in books but of course, sometimes we differ. I liked this novel pretty much, it’s cute and light and perfect for a short while, in spite of the topic. Quinn’s partner ...
This is a hard book to review because there were a lot of things that bothered me about it and yet I loved it. As a result, I'm going to make this review more of a list of things because it's hard to keep it all coherent in my mind. What I loved:The action and suspense. The danger and excitement and ...
2,5 stars for the first one. I liked the first installment. Jed was a good main character, snarky and strong, but with some flaws and quirks. Red is too good to be true, sweet boyfriend, a little chick-with-dick-ish, but overall ok. There was no real plot, but the budding LUUUUUUVE kept you on board...
This was quite lovely story about "picking up yourself and moving on" after losing your partner of 10 years. I'm not going to even pretend to understand the depth of Quinn's grief. So I thought it was quite realistic. One scene that hit the chord with me was when Quinn yelled at his friend: "Is the...
3-3.5 stars: This is actually a hard review to write because I really dig this series, I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the main MCs, and was looking forward to this third installment, but this one was just waaaaaaay too long, with pacing issues, and focused a lot on side characters that I personally was less inter...
Really liked the start of this book, good ratcheting of tension but the money shot came a little too soon for me. I liked the characters, August is kind of cute and bumbling and shifting into a chinchilla made for lots of cute youtube viewing to find out what the hell they were. Sam was macho, surly...
Gumption & Gumshoes - Alex Kidwell I entered looking for this And, I don't know how, I ended with this Aside the disappointment for characterizations, I didn't found anything interesting in the plot (which, imo, is not credible) and I don't know what to think about the paranormal side. So, ...
I loved this. I loved the characters, the plot, the action and suspense, the sexual tension and the sex too... (both were hot). I loved that a big guy likes to be dominated during sex, even by a much smaller guy. That is so rare. There was some instalove but it was necessary to the telling of the sto...
